11th Annual Steps for Autism
Northwest Autism Center is celebrating the 11th Annual Steps for Autism 5K walk in Riverfront Park on Saturday, April 25 beginning at noon at the Ice Age Playground.
Steps for Autism offers a unique opportunity for the Spokane community to unite in support of autism awareness. The event emphasizes inclusivity, with healthcare providers, teachers, families and neighbors walking side by side to showcase the compassion and connection that defines our region.
Along the route this year, participants will be greeted by OTTO and Doris the Spokanasauruses and a variety of other costumed characters including several Disney princesses.
The event, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will also feature a range of autism-friendly businesses and resource providers, offering sensory-friendly activities and a variety of prizes for all attendees.
Registration is just $25 and includes a t-shirt for those who register before April 15. Rain or shine, the Spokane community is encouraged to join the fun and help make this the most caring stroll ever! Â
