What to expect
At Northwest Autism Center we know taking the first step toward services can feel overwhelming. Our goal is to make the process as comfortable and transparent as possible. When you come through our doors, you can expect a welcoming environment, knowledgeable staff and services tailored to the unique needs of each individual and family we serve. We believe in clear communication, collaboration and respect so you always know what to expect and how we’ll work together toward your goals.
What to expect from our treatment services
- We’ll begin with an intake session to learn about your child/family’s strengths, challenges and goals.
- We’ll create an individualized treatment plan tailored to your child/family—setting clear goals for communication, social skills, adaptive behavior and behavior support.
- You’ll participate in therapy sessions—one-on-one, small groups, or in-home/community settings as appropriate.
- You’ll engage in family/caregiver training and support, so that learning and positive changes transfer from therapy into home, school and community.
- We monitor progress regularly and adjust the plan as your child grows and their needs evolve.
- You’ll be supported by a team of specialists (behavior analysts, speech-language therapists, occupational therapists, family support) working together.
- We partner with you, because your family is an essential part of how your child learns and succeeds.
Why this matters
- When therapy includes caregiver participation and is tailored to the child’s needs, outcomes are stronger.
- Seeing therapy as a system—not only in clinic but applied at home/school/community—makes progress more durable.
- Clear communication, planning, and partnership with families help set realistic expectations and reduce stress.
